Following a crucial win over West Brom, Leicester now sit ahead of their rivals and have an instant return to the Premier League in their sights.

talkSPORT.com has taken a look at what the Foxes need to be promoted…

Leicester City promotion permutations

The most simple way to put Leicester’s promotion chances is if they win all of their last three games, they will win the Championship title.

If they win two of their last three, they will guarantee automatic promotion regardless of any of their rivals' results.

If Leeds lose to Middlesbrough tonight, live on talkSPORT 2, the Foxes can secure a spot in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.

They take on Southampton at the King Power Stadium and will be able to celebrate their promotion if they win and Daniel Farke’s side are beaten.

talkSPORT 2 will also have exclusive live commentary of the game from Ian Danter and former Scotland striker Chris Iwelumo.

Leeds losing will be a major result for Leicester as they will only need three points from their remaining games to go up, meaning one win in any game will do it.

A draw for Farke’s men at Middlesbrough would benefit the Foxes too as they would then only need four points from their remaining three games to get promoted.

Should Leeds win, Maresca’s men would still need two wins from their final three.

They play Southampton, Preston and Blackburn to round the season off and know what needs to be done to achieve their goal.

Ipswich are currently in second place and will face three games in eight days to end their campaign, knowing wins in all of them would guarantee them a Premier League place too.
