West Brom predicted starting XI for Huddersfield Town clash

West Bromwich Albion take on struggling Huddersfield Town at the Hawthorns in the Sunday lunchtime kick off this weekend.

Here we take a look at the Baggies predicted starting XI for the clash against the Terriers:

SAM JOHNSTONE

The West Brom keeper struggled against Blackburn but he was outstanding against Fulham last weekend and made some crucial saves especially in the first half to keep Albion in the game.

NATHAN FERGUSON

The teenager once again defied any question of his maturity with a fantastic performance in an unfamiliar role at left back. He is expected to start once again but he should switch to his favoured right back position.

KYLE BARTLEY

Dealing with Aleksandr Mitrovic is one of the hardest tasks in the league but Bartley handled him superbly and should continue again at centre back.

SEMI AJAYI

Was a colossus at Craven Cottage keeping an array of attacking talent rather quiet on the whole and also scored his first goal in West Brom colours. Surely a banker to start.

KIERAN GIBBS

In his absence Darnell Furlong has performed particularly impressively but Gibbs’ wealth of experience at this level should see him return after his recent injury. Bilic hasn’t confirmed that Gibbs is fully fit but he only just missed out against Fulham so he is likely to return.

GRADY DIANGANA

He was a little more quiet against Fulham than in recent weeks but he should still start again here especially after his performance in the last home game against Blackburn.

JAKE LIVERMORE

Below his usual high standards at Craven Cottage but his leadership and experience have been underrated this season. Plays some exquisite balls and is making the central midfield role his own.

ROMAINE SAWYERS

An absolute sensation since his arrival from Brentford, Sawyers has the highest passing accuracy out of anyone in the league who have played all seven Championship games and will start here.

MATT PHILLIPS

Was very subdued against Fulham and was rightly substituted just before the hour mark. However, with a full week of training behind him he should take his place out wide purely for the attacking threat he possesses on his day.

MATHEUS PEREIRA

The Brazilian continues to shine in the number ten role and did his job fantastically at Fulham. Won the corner which lead to the equaliser and as well as being brilliant going forward he isn’t afraid of doing the defensive side.

CHARLIE AUSTIN

Maybe a surprising choice up front considering a lot of West Brom fans want to see Zohore handed another chance. However, Austin clearly needs match fitness and a goal should do him the power of good and provide a confidence boost to him. For him to achieve both, he has to start again.
