Following the madness of the transfer window, West Bromwich Albion have seen a mass number of departures replaced with a whole host of new arrivals. Important players have left the club but there have been some high quality additions bought in by Slaven Bilic.
This Saturday they take on Millwall at the Hawthorns and here we take a look at the prediction for the starting line up come 3pm.
SAM JOHNSTONE
Despite the fact he should have done better for Nottingham Forest’s goal on the opening weekend of the Championship season, he should still retain his place.
KIERAN GIBBS
He went off with a slight knock in the second half against Forest but it didn’t look overly serious and if fit he is a certainty to start.
KYLE BARTLEY
Had a few shaky moments in the opening game but he did well enough to keep his place especially with the injury to Ahmed Hegazi.
SEMI AJAYI
There was nothing get past the big centre back against Forest. Signed for a measly £1.5million from Rotherham he looks an absolute steal and no doubt will start.
NATHAN FERGUSON
18-years-old and performed with the experience of a 35-year-old on his full competitive debut. Man of the Match performance and will now take something special to dislodge him from the team.
KYLE EDWARDS
With a lot of new wingers arriving at the club, there is increased competition out wide. However having got the goal at the weekend and impressing with his performance he is definitely worthy of a second successive start.
JAKE LIVERMORE
Divides a lot of fans but purely for his experience he should start once again. Doesn’t do anything special but he knits play together at times and is the experienced head in a youthful midfield.
ROMAINE SAWYERS
Played well against Forest but still much more to come from the 27-year-old. He is returning back to the Hawthorns and his dream of playing for his boyhood club back on home turf should come true.
MATT PHILLIPS
Despite all of the new arrivals at the club, keeping Phillips was one of the best bits of business at West Brom. Scored a wonder goal against Forest and one of the first names on the teamsheet.
FILIP KROVINOVIC
The little Croatian showed what he can do in small bursts against Forest. With the ball at his feet he can make magic happen and is expected to keep his place.
CHARLIE AUSTIN
A bold statement. Kenneth Zohore did nothing wrong in the opening game but he didn’t do anything spectacular either. The jury is still out and with Austin’s experience and goalscoring threat he could find himself with an immediate start here.
