According to a report from HITC Sport, Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris is being scouted by a number of unnamed Championship clubs.

Championship clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris, HITC Sport has said.

Clarke-Harris only joined Bristol Rovers during the January transfer window but if he keeps up his strong form for the remainder of the season, he could earn himself a summer move to the Championship.

Since his arrival from fellow League One side Coventry City, the striker has netted seven goals in 10 games for the club, including a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Blackpool. Clarke-Harris’ goalscoring exploits have played a crucial role in the club’s recent form. Rovers have lost just one game since his arrival, helping them rise to 15th place.

The 24-year-old started his career with Coventry before being moved on to Peterborough United at the start of the 2012/2013 season. However, his time at Posh was short. He was sent on loan to Southend United without making a single appearance for the club and spent the second half of the season with Bury.

At the end of his first season with Peterborough, Clarke-Harris was sold to Oldham Athletic. He played 55 times for the Latics, netting nine times over the course of his only season with the club. He was sold to Rotherham United at the end of the season and he went on to spend four years with the club.

The striker played 79 times and scored 10 in his time with the club and endured loan spells with MK Dons, Doncaster Rovers and Coventry – who he went on to join permanently. After one year back with his first club, Clarke-Harris joined current club Bristol Rovers, where he has made a good impression and caught the eyes of Championship sides.
