Leicester v Norwich preview

Leicester head into the Easter weekend in a little bit of a rut having won just one of their last seven matches in 90 minutes in all competitions.

Enzo Maresca's side lost their spot at the top of the Championship table just before the international break due to their participation in the FA Cup quarter final a fortnight ago, which left Leeds the chance to claim top spot, which they duly took.

The Foxes head into the weekend trailing the Yorkshire side on goal difference but do have the advantage of having played a game fewer than the teams directly above and below them, as the race for automatic promotion hots up.

Just one point separates the top three teams heading into the festive weekend, and Leicester will be pleased to get back to playing on their home turf after three consecutive matches on the road prior to last weekend's international break.

The Foxes remain odds on favourites to win the Championship and return back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, and but with both Leeds and Ipswich in fantastic form, Leicester will need to pick up as many wins as possible to avoid having to go through the play-offs.

Norwich head to the East Midlands for their crunch Easter Monday clash having won three of their last four matches, a run which has seen them break into the top six for the first time since September.

David Wagner's side head into the Easter weekend having lost just one of their last nine matches, but have won just one of their last six matches away from home, with only eight teams having picked up fewer points on the road than the Canaries; surprising for a team in the play-offs.

The Norfolk side broke into the play-off spot three weeks ago with a 5-0 win over Rotherham before winning at Stoke to pick up their first win in six away games, which gives them a three point cushion ahead of seventh-placed Hull in the race for the play-offs, though the Tigers have played a game fewer.

After visiting Leicester, Norwich then take on fellow Championship title rivals Ipswich, in what might prove a crucial week for their promotion aspirations, and could make or break their season.

Leicester have won the last three meetings between the two sides while, Norwich have got the better of the Foxes only once in the last 13 years.

📝 Leicester v Norwich betting tips

Only four teams have scored more goals than Norwich in the Championship this season, Leicester being one of them, and Sky Bet's pricing of both teams to score in both halves at 12/1 could prove fruitful on Easter Monday's opening clash.
